Lafour & Wijk Architects. During the last ten years in the Netherlands, and previously in Surinam, the Dutch architects Lucien Lafour (1942) and Rikkert Wijk (1948) designed a considerable number of projects, pratically all of which have been critically acclaimed. They were recently awarded both the Wibaut Prize and the Merkelbach Prize for two housing projects in Amsterdam.
